There’s a difference between adapting and drifting. A lot of people confuse the two. They think being flexible means constantly changing direction. It doesn’t.
Adaptation means adjusting your approach—not abandoning your objective. The goal stays the same. The path just shifts based on what’s in front of you.
Early on, I would swing too far. Something didn’t work, and I’d pivot aggressively. New plan, new direction, new everything. It felt productive, but it was actually just instability disguised as action.
Real discipline is staying anchored while adjusting the details. You don’t need to reinvent everything every time something changes. You need to stay focused on what actually matters.
Flexibility without structure turns into chaos. Structure without flexibility turns into rigidity. The balance is where resilience lives.
The Takeaway
Adjust the path, not the destination.
Keep Moving Forward!
