I used to think blame was just part of the process. Something goes wrong, you figure out what happened, who was responsible, and move forward. Sounds logical, right?
The problem is, blame slows everything down. It shifts your focus away from the solution and puts it on the problem. More importantly, it removes your control.
The moment you blame something—or someone—you give up ownership. And when you give up ownership, you lose your ability to fix it quickly.
Here’s what changed for me: I stopped asking who caused the issue and started asking what I could do next. That one shift eliminated wasted time and accelerated everything.
Blame feels justified. Ownership feels heavy. But only one of them actually moves you forward.
The Takeaway
Blame delays progress—ownership accelerates it.
Keep Moving Forward!
